I refer back to SELF-EDITING FOR WRITERS by Renni Browne and Dave King every few years to make sure I'm not getting lax. Stephen King's ON WRITING is very good. It's not a book, but Allan Guthrie's blog post, "Hunting Down the Pleonasms" is, word-for-word, maybe the best of the bunch.
