If you want to reach "casual mystery" readers or "literary fiction" readers, read those books and become friendly with the writers, if you enjoy their work. You can't always "introduce" people to books they have prejudices against (OMG! Literary?!! It's about a rich white guy getting divorced, right? Thriller?
