If there was a threat or you were on high alert would you not bring in more agents who would all be armed so there would be more guns. I also think comparing a SS detail to a school is apples to oranges. There are agents all around armed and depending on the venue sharp shooters overlooking area as well who knows what other fire power…armed drones…maybe.

Compare that to a school that may have an armed resource officer. So one gun maybe none. When a gun is pulled at a school the response is met with more guns(i.e. the police). Idk that arming teachers is the answer but having someone or multiple armed (whether it be a retired police officer or veteran who has gone through training and continues to take training be a possible solution). If my kids were in a situation where a individual was firing a weapon in school I would hope that would be met with potential lethal force rather than a guidance counselor saying let’s try and talk this one out…tell me about your feelings.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119990365479009764.post-6795661604345440502022-05-26T13:19:41.672-05:002022-05-26T13:19:41.672-05:00Thank you for sharing your insight and experience....Thank you for sharing your insight and experience.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119990365479009764.post-69315587169885800842018-03-08T02:45:54.416-05:002018-03-08T02:45:54.416-05:00Proud to have been à member of this elite group US...Proud to have been à member of this elite group USSS ! Think about it. In addition you don't need to be a cop to be a good shot or rate carrying a weapon. It is your Constitutional right. Forcing human beings to be easy prey for crazy people because you are worried about kids being collateral damage is like worrying about closing the barn door after the horse got out. If the school staff has to start shooting the crazy guys has already started killing all the helpless souls in the "gun free zone". If you are betting your life on the cops showing up before you get slaughtered, good luck. Your particular background ...Great, great take J.J. Your particular background gives you a perspective a lot of people hear and actually listen to.

More guns in schools is NOT the answer, plain and simple.

I spent my career as a police officer. My wife is still a teacher. I own a gun (my duty gun, gifted upon retirement but it was only a year old at the time). With all that in mind, I repeat: arming teachers is not the answer.

I'm not anti-gun, but I am anti-ridiculous gun policy and that's what we have. There are other contributing factors, too, but I'll leave that for another discussion. Point is, I'm glad people with a background of expertise are injecting some intelligent discussion points into the debate.

Thanks, man.

Now go write!

Frank ZafiroFrank Zafirohttp://frankzafiro.comnoreply@blogger.com
